Job Title: Lab Tech
Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Schedule: 7:00AM – 5:00PM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $53 – $57/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Lab Tech for a temporary assignment in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Lab Tech:
• Collect and receive specimens for testing
• Carry out chemical, microscopic, bacteriologic, and other medical laboratory tests
• Operate both manual and automated lab equipment to analyze specimens
• Apply microbiology plate reading experience and/or microbiology supervisory experience (minimum 5 years required)
• Utilize Meditech system for documentation and laboratory processes
• Maintain current Medical Technician or Medical Lab Scientist registration by ASCP or AMT
• Hold an Associate degree (Medical Technician) or Bachelor’s degree (Medical Lab Scientist/Technologist)
• Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Lab Scientist (Technologist)/Technician
• Work a 4×10 weekday schedule with no weekends and no call
• Comply with current flu vaccine requirements from October 1st through April 1st
