Job Title: ER MED-SURG
Location: Portales, New Mexico
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ER MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Portales, New Mexico. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ER MED-SURG:
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate the ability to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately
• Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system
• Communicate with Emergency Department physicians about changes in patient status, symptomatology, and results of diagnostic studies
• Demonstrate ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
• Work night shift with occasional charge shifts
