Job Title: Lab Tech
Location: Lebanon, Oregon
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $49 – $53/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Lab Tech for a temporary assignment in Lebanon, Oregon. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Lab Tech:
• Perform laboratory testing on samples including blood, body fluids, and tissue to aid in the diagnosis of diseases, illnesses, or conditions requiring medical attention
• Process lab tests for hospital inpatients and emergency room patients on a 24-hour basis
• Perform testing on outpatient and clinic specimens
• Utilize Epic system for documentation and laboratory workflows
• Perform Antibody IDs as part of laboratory testing procedures
• Conduct emergency blood banking procedures
• Operate Ortho Vitros 5600 analyzer for specimen testing
• Maintain compliance with Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments Act (CLIA) standards
• Adhere to College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation requirements
• Maintain valid ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician
