Pay Rate: $130 – $140/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Other for a temporary assignment in Saint Louis, Missouri. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Other:
• Provide outpatient clinic services combined with inpatient consults and call coverage
• Work Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Perform general genetics evaluations for a primarily pediatric patient population with occasional adult patients
• Manage biochemical and metabolic disorders
• Provide inpatient consults across PICU, NICU, and pediatric ward settings
• Apply strong diagnostic skills in genetics, with demonstrated experience in metabolic conditions
• Collaborate effectively with genetic counselors, genetic nurses, and genetic counseling assistants
• Utilize Epic (EMR) for all clinical documentation and charting
• Maintain board certification in genetics (required)
• Maintain active Missouri state licensure; Illinois licensure preferred for telehealth consults
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain active DEA registration and BNDD/CSR credentials
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Comply with mandatory flu vaccination policy
• Provide telehealth consults for Illinois-based patients who are unable to travel to the clinic as needed
• Bring a minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in genetics
