Job Title: Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $95 – $102/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Boston, Massachusetts. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner:
• Provide coverage in the ICU setting during day (6a-7p) or night (6p-7a) shifts
• Work a minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month (Friday nights count as weekend shifts)
• Round with the Attending physician in the morning, complete tasks, and round again in the afternoon
• Act as a responding clinician in the ICU; no procedures required
• Manage bread and butter ICU and Med Surg patient cases, including 1-2 burn patients
• Provide care for adult patient populations with an average daily census of 7 in a 10-bed unit
• Utilize Epic for charting and documentation
• Maintain board certification in Acute Care with demonstrated ICU experience
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Maintain a valid DEA registration
• Hold or obtain a Massachusetts state license prior to start (PAs only)
• Bring a minimum of 2+ years of critical care experience
• Complete the first 8 hours of orientation (non-billable)
• Adhere to all applicable policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
