Job Title: Ambulatory Care
Location: Moab, Utah
Schedule: 8:00AM – 4:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 – $63/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Ambulatory Care for a temporary assignment in Moab, Utah. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Ambulatory Care:
• Provide professional care to patients in the clinic/outpatient setting in compliance with professional practice standards
• Triage incoming patient calls, assess needs, and provide appropriate advice or direction based on scope of practice and licensure
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
• Assess patient condition, triage patient phone calls, counsel patients, and provide patient education
• Take patient histories, perform screenings, and administer vaccinations and medications
• Assist healthcare providers with procedures and examinations
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards
• Ensure own professional effectiveness through education and professional development
• Participate in developing and maintaining established policies, procedures, and objectives
• Support quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection prevention programs
• Maintain current, unencumbered RN license
• Apply knowledge of infection control principles, patient safety techniques, and prevention of adverse reactions to medications and treatments
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, particularly in situations with rapidly changing circumstances
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with providers, co-workers, patients, and patient families
• Work both independently and as part of a small team
• Utilize computer systems, data entry, and electronic medical records
• Perform lifting and moving of patients or equipment as required
• Maintain confidentiality in all work-related matters
• Adhere to a reliable and timely work schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned
