Job Title: MED-SURG/TELE
Location: Washington Court House, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 – $63/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG/TELE for a temporary assignment in Washington Court House, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG/TELE:
• Provides direct patient care and develops individualized care plans
• Assesses patient conditions, administers treatments and medications, and monitors outcomes
• Collaborates with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care
• Delivers patient education, health counseling, and discharge planning
• Practices within Ohio RN scope of practice and nursing standards
• Recognizes and responds to patient complications and changes in condition
• Supervises and delegates appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care
• Ensures patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
• Reports directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership
• Maintains a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5 or flexed to 1:6
• Provides care for patients at therapy level of care to PCU level of care
• Works Day Shift (7am – 7pm), 36 hours per week, every other weekend, no call, no holidays
• Utilizes EPIC and Pyxis systems for documentation and medication management
• Maintains required certifications including ACLS and BLS
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius
