Job Title: ED
Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ED for a temporary assignment in Lancaster, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ED:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway
• Provide education for patients and family/significant others from admission through discharge
• Provide thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process/pathway
• Notify physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Administer medications and perform treatments in an accurate and safe manner
• Implement physician orders as written
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions to the proper department
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care
• Demonstrate empathy, integrity, and teamwork in all patient and staff interactions
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment and report unsafe conditions to appropriate individuals
• Comply with established policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidelines
• Complete all mandatory education and participate in learning opportunities to enhance job performance
• Work 5 weekend shifts per the 6-week schedule
• Maintain valid state licensure and current CPR certification
