Job Title: ICU
Location: Globe, Arizona
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ICU for a temporary assignment in Globe, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ICU:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for post-surgical patients and post cardiac catheterization patients, including post PCI
• Manage and care for patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, AKI, and unstable arrhythmias
• Initiate, titrate, and manage vasopressors, thrombolytics, antihypertensives, antidiabetics, and sedation
• Perform ventilator management
• Conduct hemodynamic monitoring
• Monitor and interpret telemetry
• Implement sepsis management protocols
• Manage central lines and arterial lines
• Perform chest tube management
• Administer blood products
• Operate medication infusion pumps and rapid infusers
• Utilize bedside cardiac monitors and mechanical ventilators
• Operate BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula equipment
• Utilize bladder scanner as needed
• Maintain patient ratios of 2:1 (Critical), 4:1 (Step Down), or 6:1 (Standard) as assigned
• Float to Med/Surg, Tele, Step-Down, and Observation floors as needed
• Work 12-hour shifts with on-call availability
• Maintain current flu vaccine compliance
• Limit requested time off to no more than 3 days per 13-week contract
