Job Title: Psychiatrist
Location: Longview, Washington
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $201 – $216/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Psychiatrist for a temporary assignment in Longview, Washington. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Psychiatrist:
• Provide inpatient and outpatient Behavioral Health coverage as an MD/DO
• Perform rounding, admissions, and discharges in the inpatient setting
• Transition from inpatient coverage to outpatient coverage as scheduled
• Cover occasional night call as needed when permanent staff gaps exist
• Manage approximately 5–7 inpatient patients before transitioning to outpatient duties
• See an average of 12–14 patients per day across both settings
• Conduct outpatient appointments with designated time slots: 90 minutes for new patients, 60 minutes for transfers, and 30 minutes for follow-ups
• Collaborate with Psychiatric Hospitalist coverage available on the floor from 7a–7p
• Work alongside an experienced Psychiatric NP for APP support
• Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation
• Obtain and maintain both Clinic and Hospital privileges
• Provide a case list documenting at least 100 patients representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months, including diagnosis/procedure, date, and facility where performed
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Hold a valid Washington state license or IMLC with Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation
• Comply with flu vaccine requirement (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Maintain a minimum of 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health
• Demonstrate proficiency with the Epic charting system
