Job Title: Hospitalist
Location: Salem, Massachusetts
Schedule: 10:00PM – 6:30AM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $165 – $177/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospitalist for a temporary assignment in Salem, Massachusetts. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Hospitalist:
• Perform hospital admissions for the 12-hour night shift (7p-7a) and 8-hour admitter shift (3p-11p or 4p-midnight)
• Manage an average of 6-8 admissions per night shift and 4-6 admissions per admitter shift
• Work within a closed ICU setting with no procedures and no rounding
• Document and chart using Epic EMR system
• Provide care for adult patient populations
• Maintain a valid Massachusetts (MA) state medical license
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Hospitalist experience required; Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Practice (FP) backgrounds with hospitalist experience will be considered
• Complete the credentialing process, including name clear with Name and NPI number
• Be available for sporadic shifts, with potential for 7-on/7-off or block scheduling starting October 1st
• Utilize mileage or public transportation for travel; no hotel accommodations provided
