Job Title: Manager
Location: Clovis, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $98 – $105/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Manager for a temporary assignment in Clovis, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Manager:
• Temporarily provide coverage of a specified area due to illness, leave of absence, or vacancy
• Manage assigned services or programs by directing, coordinating, and evaluating the delivery of service consistent with mission and goals
• Work with direct line management of assigned area to provide general guidance and leadership
• Collaborate with staff and leaders to evaluate processes and procedures to ensure efficient work processes
• Seek out opportunities to standardize processes within the system
• Represent the service/program area with management, committees, and outside entities
• Collaborate with other areas/programs or outside entities as necessary to support and enhance mission and goals
• Establish policies, procedures, and practices necessary for effective and efficient human resource, business, and regulatory operations of the service/program area
• Ensure policies, procedures, and practices are in accordance with appropriate laws and regulations
• Develop, implement, and maintain the annual operating budget ensuring operations are managed within established guidelines
• Oversee supervision and coordination of the service/program area
• Provide tools and developmental opportunities for staff necessary for performance consistent with mission and vision
• Supervise staffing and scheduling functions to achieve department objectives and productivity targets
• Manage employee engagement and people management processes including interviewing and selection, time and attendance approval, performance evaluations, employee development, employee retention, disciplinary actions, and terminations
• Maintain current and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Demonstrate expertise in the service area with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Apply knowledge of hospital and business operations fundamentals, management principles, and financial/budgeting operations
• Utilize excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills
• Train staff and gather information needed to streamline processes
• Sustain collaborative work relationships across departments and leadership levels
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
