Job Title: Hospitalist
Location: Cottonwood, Arizona
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $176 – $190/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospitalist for a temporary assignment in Cottonwood, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Hospitalist:
• Practice in a hospital setting as a Hospitalist in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
• Cross-cover an average of 40-50 patients per day
• Collaborate with subspecialties available during day shift, including anesthesia, surgery, and interventional radiology (IR)
• Attend codes for assigned patients, working alongside internal medicine residents and a rapid response team
• Utilize Cerner EMR system for documentation and charting
• Maintain board certification (BC) or board eligibility (BE) in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
• Maintain a valid Arizona license or IMLC licensure
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Complete required Cerner training/orientation prior to start date
• Ensure timely completion of medical records
• Maintain a minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable specialty/setting
• Submit timesheets and expenses within 30 days
• Comply with COVID-19 and Flu vaccination requirements or obtain applicable exemption
• Provide consistent and recent case logs within the last 12 months
