Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Lewistown, Montana
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $69 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Lewistown, Montana. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Manage labor progression and assist with deliveries
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies using strong clinical judgment
• Administer medications as required within scope of practice
• Perform cervical exams within scope of practice
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips accurately
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries
• Provide postpartum education to patients and families
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during labor and delivery
• Promote a positive birth experience and ensure optimal outcomes for mother and newborn
• Float to the Med Surg floor when OB is closed
• Maintain current Montana RN license
• Maintain current NRP certification
• Maintain current Stable certification
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Adhere to high standards of patient care for Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
