Job Title: Oncologist
Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $416 – $448/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncologist:
• Practice in a Hematology/Oncology specialty setting within a newly opening Medical Oncology and Hematology practice
• Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call coverage on a 1:2 rotation
• See adult patients only (18+), with an expected patient volume of approximately 10 patients per day, anticipated to grow
• Manage a caseload consisting of approximately 40% Hematology and 60% Oncology cases
• Provide care in both clinic and hospital settings, as the clinic is located inside the hospital
• Conduct inpatient consultations at the hospital as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team including front office staff, RN, MA, Navigator, and other support personnel
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and charting
• Maintain Board Certification (BC) or Board Eligibility (BE) in Oncology
• Maintain an active PA license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain an active DEA registration
• Complete full compliance requirements two weeks prior to start date
• Submit Social Security Number, photo, and PATCH results within 5 days of signing
• Complete Child Abuse Search and schedule Department of Human Services Fingerprint collection, with results received within 2 weeks of signing
• Meet all health requirements including vaccines, physical, and fit testing
• Receive 2 hours gratis for 24-hour call coverage
