Job Title: Home Health
Location: Hot Springs, South Dakota
Schedule: 7:00AM – 3:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $44 – $47/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Home Health for a temporary assignment in Hot Springs, South Dakota. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Home Health:
• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including rendering personal hygiene care
• Participate in the formulation and updating of patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments, including respiratory therapy modalities, and record them accordingly
• Apply and enforce infection control policies and practices
• Organize time, effort, and energy in rendering care, exercising judgment in establishing priorities
• Report incidents and changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse
• Take appropriate action in stressful, unusual, and emergency situations
• Establish good interpersonal relationships and appropriate interactions, demonstrating understanding, patience, and tact
• Accept and apply constructive criticism
• Provide patient instruction during hospitalization and upon discharge
• Assist with orientation and continued learning of new staff members and students
• Maintain professional and clinical competence through active participation in continuing education programs
• Apply and share new knowledge and skills
• Maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Maintain current CPR and ACLS certifications
• Utilize basic computer skills and learn various computer programs as required
