Job Title: Home Health
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $53 – $57/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Home Health for a temporary assignment in Lewiston, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Home Health:
• Partner with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment
• Provide direct and indirect patient care to residents and patients
• Utilize verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, particularly when working with Alzheimer’s/dementia residents
• Understand and manage difficult behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s/dementia residents, recognizing these behaviors as valid forms of communication
• Provide skilled nursing care including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
• Support patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term illnesses or injuries with a rehabilitation approach
• Maintain valid State of Maine or compact RN license
• Apply medical terminology and strong communication skills in daily practice
• Work effectively within a team of care providers
• Maintain flexibility to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days per week
• Float to other units as needed
