Location: Sitka, Alaska
Schedule: 7:00AM – 5:00PM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $85 – $91/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Sitka, Alaska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Serve as a Circulator in the Operating Room, requiring a minimum of 3 years of circulator experience
• Handle all types of elective and emergency surgical cases, including abdominal, thoracic, Urology, ENT, Plastic, Orthopedics, Vascular, and OB/GYN procedures
• Multi-task efficiently to ensure surgical cases proceed throughout the day in a timely manner
• Utilize after-hour call services to staff the Operating Room during nights, holidays, and weekends
• Maintain a valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Complete required flu vaccine prior to assignment
• Complete fingerprinting process promptly upon acceptance to avoid start date delays
• Apply experience in Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Room settings (strongly preferred)
• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (BSN or ADN) required
• Possess a high school diploma or GED
