Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA)
Location: Poughkeepsie, New York
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $117 – $126/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Physician Assistant (PA) for a locum tenens assignment in Poughkeepsie, New York. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Physician Assistant (PA):
• Local candidates highly preferred
• Attend mandatory onsite EPIC training prior to starting
• Complete mandatory 2 days of shadowing another provider before first shift worked
• Read x-rays, perform sutures, and conduct EKGs
• Minimum of 2 years Urgent Care experience or 1 year Emergency Room experience required
• Providers with both a NY and CT license preferred
• Practice in an Urgent Care clinic setting
• Utilize EPIC EMR/charting software for documentation
• See an average daily census of 25-40 patients
• Perform basic Urgent Care procedures including all required urgent care testing, diagnosis, suturing, and splinting
• Provide care for all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Maintain required board certifications
• Maintain valid state licensure (NY and/or CT)
• Maintain current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications
• Maintain active DEA registration
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Float to multiple locations across NY (Fishkill, Carmel, Wappingers Falls, Poughkeepsie, LaGrangeville, Kingston) and CT (North Stamford, Norwalk, Fairfield, Danbury, Brookfield)
• Complete and submit required skills checklist
