Job Title: CARDIAC CATH LAB
Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $72 – $77/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a CARDIAC CATH LAB for a temporary assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a CARDIAC CATH LAB:
• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice act
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and comprehensive in accordance with established standards of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to individualized needs as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy
• Utilize resources to teach and support patient and family education at the appropriate level of understanding
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise and provide guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• Act to resolve systems breakdowns and engage self and others in providing solutions
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, manage complex situations, and delegate to other staff appropriately
• Escalate to the appropriate chain of command as needed
• Positively influence the professional and organizational environments and shared governance
• Engage in personal development and support continuous learning and growth, including developing or revising evidence-based practice guidelines
• Support and participate in peer review and peer feedback opportunities
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum
• Be available for on-call one night per week and one weekend per month
• Maintain current WI or Compact RN licensure
• Maintain current BLS and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Successfully pass EKG test
