Job Title: L&D
Location: Lewistown, Montana
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $66 – $71/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Lewistown, Montana. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a L&D:
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Manage labor progression and respond promptly to obstetric emergencies
• Apply strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills in high-stakes situations
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during labor and delivery
• Provide safe, efficient, and caring nursing services to achieve high standards of patient care for Labor & Delivery and Obstetrics
• Administer medications as appropriate within scope of practice
• Perform cervical exams within scope of practice
• Interpret fetal monitoring strips accurately
• Prepare patients for operative deliveries as needed
• Provide postpartum education to patients and families
• Promote a positive birth experience and ensure optimal outcomes for both mother and newborn
• Maintain experience in Labor & Delivery practices
• Maintain current Montana RN license
• Maintain current NRP certification
• Maintain current Stable certification
• Maintain current BLS certification
