Job Title: Lab Tech
Location: Lincoln, Maine
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $42 – $46/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Lab Tech for a temporary assignment in Lincoln, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Lab Tech:
• Must have graduated from an approved MT or MLT program
• Work 3-12 hour shifts (after 1st week of training)
• Rotate weekends (usually every 5th weekend)
• Fill in Thursday night shifts and pick up vacancies as needed
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microbiology, including gram stains, planting cultures, and blood cultures
• Must be proficient in phlebotomy
• Must be able to perform Blood Bank testing
• Work holidays as needed on a rotating basis
• Be proficient with COVID regulations including PPE and isolation room protocols
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to communicate proficiently
