Job Title: LVN/LPN
Location: Bethel, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 4:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $44 – $47/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a LVN/LPN for a temporary assignment in Bethel, Alaska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a LVN/LPN:
• Provide quality nursing care to all patients utilizing scope of practice
• Serve as a viable member of the nursing staff
• Provide care to all patients with respect to patient rights and dignity
• Work in conjunction with Health Aides to ensure rooms are stocked and checklists are completed
• Assist in ordering medical supplies as needed
• Screen calls over the phone and assist mid-levels in the clinic after hours
• Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care
• Provide care to patients ranging from birth to elderly
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
• Maintain valid LPN/LVN licensure in good standing in the State of Alaska
• Pass and maintain required competencies for the position
• Complete IV certification course (preferred)
• Obtain and maintain Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification
• Utilize office machines and medical equipment as appropriate (e.g., multi-line telephones, computers, copy machines, dynamap, thermometer)
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology in patient care settings
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of psychiatric patient care
• Provide proof of completed COVID vaccinations
