Job Title: Ambulatory Care
Location: Bethel, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 4:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Ambulatory Care for a temporary assignment in Bethel, Alaska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Ambulatory Care:
• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on nursing practice standards
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes
• Serve as a resource person when the situation requires
• Apply age-specific considerations and cultural diversity when rendering patient care
• Provide care for all patients from birth to elderly
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Operate office equipment including computer, telephone, fax machine, and copy machine
• Operate medical equipment as appropriate for the position, including EKG and Cystoscopy
• Utilize proficient oral and written communication skills in all patient care interactions
• Administer treatments and medications, interpret diagnostic tests, and provide education to patients, families, and significant others
• Apply knowledge of medical terminology in daily practice
• Demonstrate basic EKG and nursing skills
• Document all actions involved in care delivery accurately
• Follow established guidelines, procedures, and governmental regulations
• Apply theoretical knowledge of the nursing process, care management, and continuity of care
• Perform mathematical calculations including rates, ratios, and percentages as required for patient care
• Solve practical problems and interpret instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Supervise Unit Secretaries and PCTs in collaboration with the Charge Nurse
• Maintain flexibility with work schedule and demonstrate ability for independent actions within prescribed limits
• Show proof of completed COVID vaccinations prior to assignment start
