Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Schedule: 6:00AM – 4:00PM x 6
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $60/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Work in a primarily surgical department with some medical overlap due to bed availability
• Follow scheduling requirements including working every other weekend as scheduled by agency
• Provide patient care in a 35-room private patient facility with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio on night shift
• Collaborate with shift supervisors and patient care techs on each shift
• Maintain current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Perform duties across applicable specialty units including Intensive Care, Progressive Care, Cardiac Services, Emergency Room, Recovery Room, and other designated departments
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures for patient care delivery
• Comply with all required licensure and certification requirements applicable to assigned unit
