Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Tuba City, Arizona. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Perform a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments
• Work independently in completing nursing assignments
• Follow physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies and procedures manuals, and hospital policies
• Provide nursing support to individuals of all ages and their families
• Maintain a valid, current, full and unrestricted Nursing License to practice nursing in any U.S. state, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Maintain current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within six months of hire
• Complete NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of hire
• Bring a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a nurse in an acute or sub-acute facility
• Submit housing application two weeks prior to start date if applicable
• Complete required orientation and compliance documentation
