Job Title: Observation Unit
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Observation Unit for a temporary assignment in Zanesville, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Observation Unit:
• Work primarily on the 1S Observation unit with required floating to other Med-Surg units including Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac units
• Float to the Emergency Department (ED) if appropriately skilled and knowledgeable
• Work 36 hours per week on night shift (7p–7:30a)
• Work every other weekend as required
• Take call on a rare/as-needed basis
• Demonstrate current and proficient use of Epic EMR (no refresher classes or 1:1 training will be provided)
• Maintain active BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrate minimum 3 years of current/recent Telemetry/Med-Surg experience
• Demonstrate ability to read Telemetry/BCRA; competency will be tested on day one
• Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and standards of patient care delivery
