Job Title: Radiation Therapist

Salary: $100000.00 – $112000.00
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Radiation Therapist for a permanent assignment in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Responsibilities for a Radiation Therapist:
• Administer radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety
• Work closely with medical professionals to follow patient treatment plans
• Operate linear accelerators, including tomotherapy equipment, CT simulators, and High Dose Rate brachytherapy units
• Provide radiation therapy care to cancer patients of all ages, including those with breast, lung, and prostate cancer
• Deliver external beam radiation with intensive monitoring therapy
• Perform low and high dose rate brachytherapy procedures
• Assist with Stereotactic Radiosurgery and total body irradiation
• Monitor and provide care to ambulatory, self-supportive, and inpatient populations requiring intensive monitoring and services
• Support sedation/analgesia care as needed
• Maintain current Hawaii State license as a Radiation Therapist
• Maintain current CPR certification at the Healthcare Professional level
• Adhere to safety protocols related to radiation, body fluids, communicable diseases, and mechanical/electrical units
• Perform physical duties including standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 10 pounds, and reaching above shoulder level
