Job Title: COTA
Location: Salinas, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 4:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $40 – $43/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a COTA for a temporary assignment in Salinas, California. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a COTA:
• Provide skilled occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Implement individualized treatment plans to improve ADL performance, functional mobility, upper extremity function, cognition, safety awareness, and overall independence
• Accurately document treatments using electronic medical records
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team regarding patient progress and discharge planning
• Educate patients, caregivers, and facility staff on adaptive equipment, home safety, and functional strategies
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, state, and facility documentation standards
• Participate in care conferences and team meetings as appropriate
• Complete documentation in Net Health per facility standards
• Maintain current California COTA license
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
