Job Title: Primary Care Physician
Location: Venice, California
Schedule: 8:00AM – 4:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $143 – $154/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Primary Care Physician for a temporary assignment in Venice, California. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:
• Provide outpatient primary care services in a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine setting
• See an average of 18 patients per day across clinic sites in the Los Angeles area
• Work 5 8-hour shifts per week, with start times of 8a or 11a, including 1-2 evening shifts per week
• Maintain a home base at 1-2 clinic locations within a reasonable commutable area
• Float between multiple clinic sites throughout the LA area as needed
• Provide care to a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients; Spanish or medical Spanish proficiency strongly preferred
• Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation and charting
• Collaborate with robust support staff including Medical Assistants, RNs, LVNs, and on-site Behavioral Health professionals
• Maintain active California medical license, DEA registration, and clean malpractice background
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Maintain Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Availability of up to 4 weeks per month preferred; part-time availability also considered
