Job Title: ER MED-SURG
Location: Rockford, Illinois
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $57 – $61/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a ER MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Rockford, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a ER MED-SURG:
• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws practice act
• Document according to standards of care
• Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
• Develop, initiate, and execute a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instruction
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance
• Utilize clinical expertise and provide guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalate to the appropriate chain of command
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities and decisions, and peer review process
• Maintain active IL RN Licensure
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and either TNCC or TNS certifications
• Work night shift schedule with weekend and holiday rotation
