Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MSW for a permanent assignment in Bethel, Alaska.
Responsibilities for a MSW:
• Provide screening, crisis intervention, and short-term therapy services to clients
• Utilize evidence-based interventions including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing
• Take a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered approach to client care
• Educate clients about various mental health concerns and indicated interventions
• Enhance clients’ capacity to address their own needs
• Conduct clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and develop therapeutic goals and treatment plans
• Supervise ACT clinicians by providing clinical supervision and support
• Ensure ACT clinicians provide ethical, appropriate, and effective services
• Monitor ACT services and implement necessary changes to reflect current treatment philosophies and population needs
• Attend Outpatient Clinic and other interdepartmental meetings
• Manage ACT clinician time in the Kronos timekeeping system
• Encourage communication and collaboration among Outpatient Clinic disciplines and staff
• Provide appropriate referrals as needed
• Maintain appropriate State of Alaska licensure for licensed clinical social work or licensed professional counselor within 6 months of hire
• Demonstrate sensitivity to varying cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds, values, and attitudes
• Utilize basic computer knowledge and standard office equipment for documentation and administrative tasks
