Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Warwick, Rhode Island. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Provide registered nursing care services in a Med Surg Float Pool setting
• Work night shift hours (36 hours/week) across floating assignments
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for clinical documentation
• Float between units within the Med Surg Float Pool as needed
• Comply with flu vaccine and COVID vaccine requirements
• Complete CNE Skills Checklist prior to submission
• Complete CNE Specialty Competency Exam, Basic EKG Exam, Pharmacology Exam, and Core Competencies upon onboarding
• Maintain valid RN state licensure verified through Nursys
• Obtain CNE RI Fingerprinting clearance (RN only)
• Submit 2 professional references prior to placement
• Complete criminal background check and employment verification
• Comply with all health requirements including MMR, Varicella, Tdap, Hepatitis B, TB testing, and fit testing
• Complete all required onboarding documentation including confidentiality agreement, orientation packet, and occupational health clearance forms
• Maintain BSN credential and provide verification upon onboarding
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
