Job Title: L&D
Location: Port Lavaca, Texas
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 14-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $65 – $70/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Port Lavaca, Texas. These positions are 14-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a L&D:
• Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery, and Lactation settings
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills essential for rural healthcare environment
• Utilize Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) proficiency as a core competency
• Function effectively in a small 2-person department requiring versatility across all L&D, Post Partum, and Nursery roles
• Manage and support an average of 15-20 deliveries per month
• Utilize OBIX electronic medical records system for clinical documentation
• Adapt to and manage care for a large transient patient population
• Apply experience and best practices specific to rural healthcare settings
• Maintain competency across multiple obstetric care areas including Labor and Delivery, Post Partum, Nursery, and Lactation support
• Provide maternal and neonatal care in accordance with Level I designation standards
