Job Title: Emergency Medicine
Location: Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts
Schedule: 7:30AM – 5:30PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $91 – $98/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Emergency Medicine for a temporary assignment in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Emergency Medicine:
• Work full-time, 40 hours per week across four 10-hour shifts with availability for days, nights, and weekends
• Available shift times: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM or 12:00 PM–10:00 PM
• Complete 8 hours of non-billable orientation prior to start
• Hold and maintain an active Pennsylvania-Certified (PA-C) license with the ability to see and treat pediatric patients
• Maintain active Massachusetts (MA) licensure
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of emergency department (ED) experience (urgent care experience does not qualify)
• Treat lower-acuity and fast-track patients, with an average census of 10 patients per shift
• Work independently or alongside a physician depending on patient acuity level
• Manage own patient panel with a physician always available for consultation
• Perform history and physical examinations
• Enter diagnostic orders and develop treatment plans
• Facilitate patient discharges
• Perform suturing and laceration repair
• Perform incision and drainage procedures
• Perform splinting and fracture management
• Perform joint reductions
• Perform intubations
• Utilize Epic EMR system for clinical documentation
• Provide Name and NPI number for name clearance prior to placement
• Adhere to credentialing requirements with an estimated timeframe of 90 days
