Job Title: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP)
Location: Los Angeles, California
Schedule: 5:00AM – 1:30PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $163 – $175/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) for a temporary assignment in Los Angeles, California. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP):
• Serve as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant on the Pediatric Palliative Care team
• Perform rounding and consulting on inpatient pediatrics
• Manage care for patients awaiting transplant, including symptom management and goals of care discussions
• Navigate complex and sensitive conversations with patients and families, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Practice autonomously on an occasional basis as needed
• Collaborate and tag team with physicians and other APPs to maintain a balanced workload
• Round with a dedicated social worker as part of an interdisciplinary support team
• Manage a consult load of approximately 8–12 patients per day
• Utilize Epic charting system for clinical documentation
• Maintain valid California state licensure
• Hold and maintain Pediatric Acute Care Certification
• Work 4 eight-hour shifts per week, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Bring a minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Inpatient experience; backgrounds in Transplant, DOU, or PICU are ideal
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
