Job Title: Urologist
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $370 – $398/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Urologist for a temporary assignment in York, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Urologist:
• Provide Urology specialty coverage in both clinic and OR settings
• Work clinic shifts Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts) with a 1-hour lunch break
• See approximately 24-28 patients per day in clinic, including urgent cases as needed
• Perform and support cystoscopy/stent procedures mixed with office visits
• Perform core urological procedures including vasectomy, cystoscopy (OR), prostate procedures, ureteroscopy (OR), lithotripsy, orchiopexy, penile plication, and penile implants (rare)
• Perform vasectomy reversal (preferred but not mandatory)
• Utilize scope equipment as part of practice if applicable (not required)
• Operate cystoscope, towers, and perform injections using available office equipment
• Supervise and support new Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) as required
• Collaborate with support staff including 4 Medical Assistants, 1 CSA, and 1 RN
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and charting
• Provide care primarily to patients 18 years and older; may provide emergency care for torsion cases during call
• Maintain Board Certification (BC or BE) in Urology
• Hold an active PA License or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain an active DEA registration
• Have a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
• Complete full compliance requirements two weeks prior to start date
• Submit required credentialing documentation including Social Security Number, photo, and PATCH results within 5 days of signing
• Schedule Department of Human Services fingerprint collection and Child Abuse Search
• Meet all health requirements including vaccines, physical, and fit testing
• Adhere to all credentialing and privileging requirements within the 90-day credentialing timeframe
