Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Schedule: 6:00AM – 4:00PM x 6
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $68 – $74/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Carbondale, Illinois. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a OR:
• Work 3 12-hour shifts per shift cycle, with on-call as required
• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individual plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team
• Provide explanations and instructions to patient and/or responsible person
• Demonstrate ability to use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care
• Participate in continuing education
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records
• Maintain current Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Maintain current CPR/BLS certification
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Obtain and maintain additional certifications as required by assigned unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, OCN, fetal monitoring, etc.)
• Float between applicable units and departments as needed based on assignment
