Job Title: Gastroenterologist
Location: Sedro Woolley, Washington
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $401 – $432/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Gastroenterologist for a temporary assignment in Sedro Woolley, Washington. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Gastroenterologist:
• Provide gastroenterology services as an MD/DO in an outpatient setting
• Perform general gastroenterology endoscopy procedures including colonoscopy and EGD (not advanced endoscopy)
• See an average of 16 adult patients per day
• Work an 8-hour shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Handle both clinic and hospital privileges
• Perform patient admissions as required
• Work independently when needed within a multi-specialty setting that includes OB, Orthopedics, and General Surgery
• Maintain and provide documentation of gastroenterology services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
• Maintain current ACLS, BLS, and moderate sedation certifications from AHA or American Red Cross
• Utilize EPIC EMR system proficiently for documentation and charting
• Comply with flu vaccine requirement (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Maintain valid state licensure and licensure preferred prior to start date
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and credentialing requirements
