Job Title: Oncology Nurse Practitioner
Location: Los Angeles, California
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $146 – $158/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a temporary assignment in Los Angeles, California. These positions are 26-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncology Nurse Practitioner:
• Provide full time coverage working 3 12-hour day shifts (10:00 AM – 10:30 PM) with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis with other staff
• Function as a PA or NP with at least 1 year of experience in cancer diagnosis and managing acute needs
• Demonstrate experience in an Infusion Center setting (preferred)
• Manage up to 10 patients per day
• Collaborate with support staff including Administrative Assistants and Medical Assistants
• Maintain required Oncology Certification
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Obtain temporary privileges within 6 weeks of start
• Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Utilize charting system for clinical documentation (experience preferred)
• Adhere to all applicable facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
