Job Title: MED-SURG
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $36 – $39/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED-SURG for a temporary assignment in Lawton, Oklahoma. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED-SURG:
• Work 7p-7a shift on a 13-bed adult medical-surgical unit
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for assigned patients
• Develop and document nursing diagnoses based on patient assessment findings
• Create, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide total nursing care to patients across the lifespan including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care team personnel
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting
• Develop and implement systems to provide care to diverse patient populations
