Job Title: PCU
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 4
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $52 – $56/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PCU for a temporary assignment in Zanesville, Ohio. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a PCU:
• Work 36 hours per week on night shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Typically work every 3rd weekend, subject to change based on census and staffing
• Cover 1 holiday per contract period, subject to change based on census and staffing
• No on-call required, though may occasionally be asked to take a rare call day due to fluctuating census or staffing
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Possess a minimum of three (3) years of cardiac step-down experience
• Demonstrate experience with heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients
• Provide care to cardiac and med-surg step-down patients
• Demonstrate proficiency with Open-Heart patient care
• Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation
• Float to other units during low census or coverage crisis situations as needed
• Be prepared to care for ventilated patients in rare circumstances based on patient needs and staffing requirements
• Adhere to unit policies, procedures, and dress code requirements
• Disclose all Requested Time Off (RTO) at the time of submission
