Job Title: MED SURG PEDS
Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 7:00AM – 7:00PM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $55 – $59/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED SURG PEDS for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED SURG PEDS:
• Coordinate exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients in a general Med/Surg unit
• Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions regarding patient care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during shifts
• Ensure holistic care addressing patients’ age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Maintain accountability to the Unit Director
• Maintain current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure
• Maintain current BLS (American Heart Association) certification prior to start
• Maintain current ACLS certification prior to start
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience
• Utilize Meditech system for documentation (preferred)
• Upload all required credentials five business days before start date
• Be available to work with occasional pediatric patients as needed
• Ensure reliable personal transportation is available as public transportation is not accessible in the area
