Job Title: MED SURG PEDS
Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $59 – $63/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED SURG PEDS for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED SURG PEDS:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult and occasional pediatric patients in a general Med/Surg unit on night shift
• Coordinate exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients in medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care settings
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions regarding patient care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to meet the unique needs of a diverse patient population
• Provide holistic care addressing patients’ age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Work accountably under the Unit Director and in close collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during shift
• Maintain current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure
• Maintain current BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS certifications
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience
• Utilize Meditech system for documentation (preferred)
• Ensure all required credentials are uploaded five business days prior to start date
• Comply with facility vaccination requirements, including mandatory flu shot
• Maintain reliable personal transportation as public transportation and rideshare services are not available in the area
• Begin assignment on Wednesdays per facility scheduling requirements
