Job Title: Oncologist
Location: Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $416 – $448/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Oncologist for a temporary assignment in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Oncologist:
• Practice in a Hematology/Oncology specialty setting within a new Medical Oncology and Hematology practice
• Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call coverage on a 1:2 rotation
• See approximately 10 patients per day, with patient volume expected to grow
• Provide care exclusively to adult patients (18+)
• Manage a hematology/oncology case mix (40% hematology, 60% oncology)
• Operate within a community-based practice setting handling general oncology and hematology cases
• Conduct inpatient consultations at the hospital as needed
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including front office staff, RN, MA, and a navigator
• Maintain active Board Certification (BC) or Board Eligibility (BE) in Oncology
• Maintain a valid PA license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (LOQ)
• Maintain an active DEA registration
• Complete full credentialing/privileging compliance within the required timeframe
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and health requirements including vaccines, physical, and fit testing
