Job Title: L&D
Location: Warwick, Rhode Island
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $78 – $84/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a L&D for a temporary assignment in Warwick, Rhode Island. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a L&D:
• Provide nursing care to patients, either directly or indirectly, for a defined group of patients according to the hospital’s philosophy of patient care
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a minimum of 2 years of job-related experience or equivalent
• Maintain current and valid Rhode Island State Nursing Licensure
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain current ACLS and NRP certifications for Labor and Delivery
• EFM Certification preferred for Labor and Delivery assignments
• Utilize Epic charting system for documentation (Epic experience is required/mandatory)
• Complete required skills checklist prior to submission
• Complete specialty competency exam, basic EKG exam, pharmacology exam, and core competencies upon onboarding
• Maintain up-to-date health records including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, and TB testing
• Complete fit testing requirements
• Submit 2 professional references prior to placement
• Comply with criminal background check requirements
• Complete required orientation and onboarding documentation including confidentiality agreements and employment verification
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements for patient care delivery
