Job Title: Home Health
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $54 – $58/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Home Health for a temporary assignment in Lewiston, Maine. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Home Health:
• Partner with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment
• Provide direct and indirect patient care services as a Registered Nurse
• Work within specialized units including Alzheimer’s/dementia care, Transitional Rehabilitation, and long-term care
• Utilize verbal and non-verbal communication techniques when working with Alzheimer’s/dementia residents
• Understand and appropriately respond to difficult behaviors associated with Alzheimer’s/dementia residents
• Provide skilled nursing services including IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management
• Support patients recovering from fractures, joint replacements, back surgery, stroke, and other short-term illnesses or injuries
• Maintain valid State of Maine or compact RN license
• Apply strong medical terminology knowledge in patient care delivery
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills when collaborating with care teams
• Maintain flexibility to provide coverage 24 hours/day, 7 days per week
• Float to other units as needed to ensure adequate staffing and patient care continuity
