Job Title: Pulmonologist
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $216 – $233/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Pulmonologist for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Pulmonologist:
• Provide outpatient pulmonary care services to adult and geriatric patient populations
• See an average of 14-16 patients per day in a clinic setting
• Work an 8-hour shift schedule, 8am-5pm Monday-Friday
• Begin assignment working 1 week per month, transitioning to 1 week every other month or quarter
• Practice in an outpatient clinic environment with no call, rounding, or admission responsibilities
• Work independently as a solo pulmonologist, with family medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, OB/GYN, and pediatrics available Monday-Friday, and 24/7 hospitalist and ED physicians on site
• Maintain active Alaska (AK) medical license prior to start of assignment
• Maintain current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross
• Utilize Epic EMR system proficiently for clinical documentation
• Provide documentation of cardiovascular disease services representative of the scope and complexity of privileges requested within the previous 24 months
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirement (no exemptions)
• Adhere to all applicable credentialing, privileging, and compliance requirements
