Job Title: Urologist
Location: Potsdam, New York
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM x 5
Term: 26-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $371 – $399/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Urologist for a temporary assignment in Potsdam, New York. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Urologist:
• Must be Board Certified in the US
• Provide full-time coverage (or shared coverage equivalent to one full-time provider) to address current staffing gaps
• Conduct primarily outpatient visits with inpatient consults, procedures, and post-op rounding as needed
• Manage a mix of patient contact, procedures, rounding, and consults
• See approximately 20 patients per provider per day
• Perform bread and butter cases and procedures
• Provide clinic coverage Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, and Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) with schedule flexibility based on availability
• Perform OR cases during block time (7:30 AM – 3:00 PM) with no case limit at a Level III Trauma Center
• Treat adult patients only (18+)
• Utilize Epic charting system for all documentation (Epic experience required)
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Hold a valid New York license prior to start
• Ensure work history is up to date with no gaps of 30 or more days
• Provide a physician statement if any malpractice history exists, whether dismissed or not
• Remain within a 20-minute radius of the facility while on call and not leave the state or country during on-call periods
