Job Title: MED SURG PEDS
Location: ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont
Schedule: 7:00PM – 7:00AM x 3
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $53 – $57/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a MED SURG PEDS for a temporary assignment in ST JOHNSBURY, Vermont. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a MED SURG PEDS:
• Work night shift providing care primarily to adult patients with occasional pediatric patients
• Coordinate exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients in a general Med/Surg unit
• Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet the unique needs of a diverse patient population
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make critical decisions in patient care
• Ensure holistic care addressing patients’ age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Work accountably under the Unit Director and collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Lead and/or Nursing Supervisor during shift
• Maintain current Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure
• Maintain current BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Possess a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience
• Utilize Meditech system for documentation (preferred)
• Comply with credentialing requirements including mandatory flu shot with no exceptions
• Ensure all required credentials are uploaded five business days prior to start date
• Begin orientation on Wednesdays as required by facility onboarding schedule
